- sow Asian brassica, beetroot, green sprouting broccoli, Brussels sprouts, savoy cabbages, red cabbages, carrots, cauliflower, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce & Asian greens, mustard, spring onions, radishes, silverbeet and swede; feed beds lightly with complete organic fertilizer, horse manure or composted hay from chook-pens before sowing and planting

- continue to hand-thin apples and pears
- deep-water once a week
- pick berries, cherries
- start picking 
     apples: Beauty of Bath, Irish Peach, White Transparent
     plums: Victoria
     apricots 
- feed all trees lightly with horse manure and composted hay from chook-pens
- check for pear and cherry slugs, spray with Success, if necessary
- continue summer-pruning fruit trees
